En las exhibiciones de Cachorro Galería, pueden verificarse tres vertientes: la del interés por la crítica ética (del cuerpo y las prácticas sociales), la espacial (especialmente interesada en la ciudad) y la imaginaria (sustentada desde el mito, el sueño y los recuerdos). Dicha tercia muestra preocupaciones de la generación millenial de artistas emergentes, que a la vez se presentan como una línea estructural de vivencias en la Ciudad de México.

Destetados desarrolla, desde el inicio, la mirada dubitativa y crítica interna, recalcando que regresaremos siempre al cuestionamiento del ser, después se expande hacia el otro y el entorno, es decir, al mundo externo y a las prácticas sociales que nos son asignadas al nacer y que nos definirán como personas políticas y de allí de nuevo hacia la introspección, como un ciclo que finalmente concentrará y visibilizará las posturas de la afamada generación.

Así como Luperca vio a Rómulo y Remo discutir sobre la fundación de Roma, la presente exhibición busca diálogo y comunidad, no se trata de dejar las cosas claras, más bien, de precisar preguntas.

At Cachorro Galeria exhibitions, three aspects can be verified: that of interest in ethical criticism (of the body and social practices), that one spacial (especially interested in the city), and that one imaginary (sustained from myth, dreams, and memories). That third shows worries of Millenial emerging artists generation, which at the same time are presented as a structural line of experiences in Mexico City.

Destetados (Weaned) develops, from the beginning, the doubtful look, and inside criticism, emphasizing that we are always back to the questioning of being, then it expands towards the other and the environment, it means, to the exterior world and social practices that are assigned to us at birth defining us as political persons, from there it returns to introspection, as a cycle that finally will concentrate and make visible the positions of the famous generation.

In the same way that Luperca saw Romulo and Remo discuss Rome’s foundation, this exhibition looks for dialogue and community, it’s not about making things clear but about clarifying questions.
